From here your route links a series of 12th–13th century temples, including the enigmatic Preah Khan and the small island temple of Neak Poan.
You finish the loop with two 10th-century temples, East Mebon and Pre Rup, whose brick towers glow beautifully in the late-afternoon light. On the way back you ride through open countryside dotted with rice fields and pause to admire sunset over the reservoir of Srah Srang.

This route leads you along small traditional houses, emerald-green fields and herds of water buffalo. You cycle past rice paddies, patches of forest and broad open spaces until you reach the vast West Baray reservoir.
Afterwards, you visit several small, almost secret temples and enjoy an exceptional ride along the ancient walls. The day ends with sunset at the little temple tower of Prasat Chrung, set on one of the corners of the city walls, a peaceful spot with far-reaching views.
