You leave Lake Nakuru behind and drive towards the legendary Masai Mara. This reserve offers a breathtaking concentration of African wildlife: lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, wildebeest, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, crocodiles, hippos and tiny dik-diks are just some of the many species you may encounter. The unforgettable highlight, if you are traveling during the right season, is witnessing the annual migration of almost two million wildebeest and zebras as they thunder across the Mara River.
After your game drives, experience nature on foot in the company of a Maasai. A visit to a Maasai community gives you insight into their traditional lifestyle and shows how age‑old customs continue to shape daily life even today.

The following day is dedicated to a half‑day trek up Mt. Longonot. The climb is rewarded with sweeping views over the Rift Valley and Lake Naivasha. After returning to the lake, you enjoy a relaxing boat safari, watching hippos and the rich birdlife from the water. The park’s name comes from the Maasai language and refers to the salty dust of the seasonally flooded lakebed. A mosaic of swamps, open plains and bushland provides ideal habitat for a wide range of wildlife.
Over the next two days you explore the park on game drives. In addition to lions, cheetahs, leopards and numerous other species, Amboseli is especially famous for its large elephant herds, often photographed against the backdrop of snow‑capped Kilimanjaro when visibility is good.
