Safari through the Rainforest of Mount Kenya

Points of Interest : Nairobi, Mount Kenya massif
Your first safari day begins with a drive north towards the foothills of the Mount Kenya massif. Here you explore the lush rainforest on a guided nature walk. With some luck, you may encounter the elusive forest elephants that inhabit this area, as well as a variety of birds and other wildlife. Afterwards, you visit a local tea farm, where you learn how tea is cultivated and processed and gain insight into the daily life and livelihoods of the people who live in this fertile region.
- Meals included : Full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
- Accommodation : Safari camp or lodge near Mount Kenya, tent or room with private facilities
Day 3
Rhinos in Lake Nakuru National Park

Points of Interest : Lake Nakuru National Park, Mount Kenya massif
Today you continue west towards Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its large populations of both black and white rhinos. On game drives in the park, your chances are high to observe these impressive animals at close range. You also look out for Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, gazelles, antelopes and many bird species along the lake’s shores, creating excellent photo opportunities.
- Meals included : Full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
- Accommodation : Lodge or camp near Lake Nakuru, tent or room with beds and shower/WC
Day 4
Two Days with the Masai in the South

Points of Interest : Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru National Park
Leaving the west behind, you drive through the Great Rift Valley towards the south into the Loita Hills. For the next two days you stay in a simple banda (a small house with beds and private shower/WC) near a traditional Masai village, far away from the classic tourist routes. The Masai community introduces you to their everyday life, livestock-keeping traditions and customs that they still actively preserve. On a guided walk with Masai warriors, you explore the surrounding hills and learn about local plants, wildlife tracks and the cultural significance of the landscape.
- Meals included : Full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
- Accommodation : Banda house in the Loita Hills near a Masai village
Day 5
Masai Mara: On Africa’s Most Wildlife-Rich Safari

Points of Interest : Masai Mara
You head into the legendary Masai Mara, one of Africa’s most wildlife-rich ecosystems. On extensive game drives you search for the Big Five and many other species: rhinos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, gazelles, antelopes, buffaloes, wildebeest, zebras, elephants, hippos and crocodiles along the rivers. Between July and October, you may witness the spectacular migration of nearly two million wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River – a dramatic natural event that leaves a lasting impression and offers unforgettable photographic moments.
- Meals included : Full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
- Accommodation : Tented camp or lodge in or near the Masai Mara, tent or room with private facilities
Day 6
Boat Safari on Lake Naivasha & Cycling in Hell’s Gate National Park

Points of Interest : Hell’s Gate, Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha
Over the next two days you explore Lake Naivasha and Hell’s Gate National Park. On a boat safari across Lake Naivasha you quietly glide over the water, watching hippos at close range and observing the rich birdlife along the reeds and shorelines. Later, you head to Hell’s Gate National Park for a guided cycling tour. You ride between towering cliffs, steam vents and geysers in a rugged canyon landscape that feels surprisingly different from the classic Kenyan savanna. The dramatic scenery explains why this park is known as Hell’s Gate.
- Meals included : Full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
- Accommodation : Camp or lodge near Lake Naivasha / Hell’s Gate, tent or room
Day 7
To the Foot of Kilimanjaro, Africa’s Highest Mountain

Points of Interest : Hell’s Gate, Amboseli National Park
Today you travel south past Nairobi towards Amboseli National Park, set at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. On safari in Amboseli, you look for huge elephant herds, as well as lions, cheetahs, leopards, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes and gazelles. Flamingos that have left the now too fresh waters of Lake Nakuru have found a new home in Amboseli and add splashes of pink to the scene. With the snow-capped Kilimanjaro as a backdrop, you capture classic African wildlife images that will stay in your memory long after the trip.
- Meals included : Full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
- Accommodation : Lodge or camp in Amboseli National Park area, tent or room with private facilities
Day 8
The Red Elephants of Tsavo West National Park

Points of Interest : Amboseli National Park
You continue into Tsavo West National Park, which together with Tsavo East forms Kenya’s largest protected area. The landscape changes to semi-arid steppe dotted with rocky hills and acacia trees. Here you search for lions and many other savanna animals, but the stars are the famous “red elephants”. Their reddish colour comes from the red earth and dust they spray over themselves as natural protection from sun and insects. This unique coloration makes for striking photographs in the late afternoon light.
- Meals included : Full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
- Accommodation : Lodge or camp in Tsavo West, tent or room with beds and shower/WC
Day 9
Grand Safari Finale in Tsavo East National Park

Points of Interest :
Your journey continues into Tsavo East National Park, a beautiful but still relatively rarely visited area. The scenery is a mix of semi-desert, wide steppe and marshes, offering a peaceful setting for your last safari day. You spend unhurried time watching wildlife and soaking up the wide horizons of the African continent. It is the perfect moment to reflect on the encounters and landscapes of the past days and to simply enjoy the tranquillity before your safari comes to an end.
- Meals included : Full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
- Accommodation : Lodge or camp in Tsavo East, tent or room
Day 10
Farewell to Kenya and Journey to the Indian Ocean

Points of Interest : Mombasa
You travel onwards to Mombasa on the Indian Ocean coast. Here it is time to say goodbye to this enchanting country, unless you choose to extend your stay. On request, you can book an extra beach extension in a private house by the ocean, in a coastal hotel or on an offshore island as a relaxing finale to your safari. Your hosts wish you a wonderful remaining time in Africa and a safe flight home.

- Last day : Transfer to the coast and onward transfer to the airport or optional beach extension
