Day 1
Kathmandu – 1,300 m altitude

Welcome to Nepal. After you have completed your visa formalities, a representative will meet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to your hotel. Once checked in, take time to rest from the long journey and refresh yourself with a cool drink while you receive a detailed briefing about your upcoming program.

Day 2
From jetlag to inner light: nurturing wellness for a spiritual journey

Points of Interest : Kathmandu Valley
Today is devoted to deep relaxation and recovery from jetlag using traditional Nepali wellness practices. Enjoy a 90-minute Shirodhara session, where a steady stream of warm aromatic oil is poured over your forehead to calm the nervous system. This is complemented by a 45-minute head, foot and shoulder massage to release tension. Afterwards, immerse yourself in a 60-minute sound bowl session, letting the vibrations ease muscle stiffness, soothe aches and restore balance. These ancient rituals blend with modern wellness to prepare your body and mind for the spiritual journey ahead.

Day 3
Yoga session and UNESCO World Heritage sightseeing

Points of Interest : Kathmandu Valley
At dawn, start the day with a calming yoga and meditation session guided by your teacher. Afterwards, visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Boudhanath, one of the largest stupas in the world and a major Buddhist pilgrimage centre. Continue to Patan Durbar Square, renowned for its exquisite temples and palaces dating from the 16th to 18th centuries. You then explore Swayambhunath, the hilltop “Monkey Temple”, where you can admire sweeping views over Kathmandu Valley and pay homage to Buddhism. In the evening, visit the revered Hindu temple complex of Pashupatinath. Observe the intricate carvings and images, visit nearby ashrams to learn more about Hinduism, and end the day by watching the Aarati ceremony on the banks of the Bagmati River.

Day 4
A spiritual day with the monks

Points of Interest : Pharping
Begin early with another gentle yoga and meditation session led by your teacher. Then drive out of Kathmandu towards the western hills to visit Sheshnarayan Temple, about 25 km away. Explore the shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu and admire the detailed stone carvings and statues. Continue about 6 km to Vajrayogini Temple, an important Buddhist site devoted to the goddess of wisdom and knowledge, whose history dates back to around the 17th century. From there, drive roughly 5 km to the Asura Cave. A resident monk will share the legends and mythology surrounding Guru Rinpoche’s meditation retreat here. Hike up to the cave and enjoy the sweeping views of the surrounding landscape before settling in at the monastery hotel.

Day 5
Immersion in Buddhist spirituality and meditation

Points of Interest : Namobuddha
In the early morning, join a 90-minute meditation session led by a monk, including teachings on Buddhist philosophy that deepen your understanding of compassion and mindfulness. After breakfast, drive to Dhulikhel and start a scenic hike to Namo Buddha Monastery. Walk through tranquil countryside known for rice, mustard and millet cultivation, passing terraced fields cascading down the hillsides. On arrival at the monastery, visit the sacred sites and interact with the resident monks to learn about their daily routines and rituals. Spend the rest of the evening relaxing in pristine natural surroundings at your wellness resort.

Day 6
A journey through culture, cuisine and ancient wonders

Points of Interest : Kathmandu Valley, Bhaktapur, Panauti
Today you travel to Panauti, one of Nepal’s oldest towns. Visit a community homestay where your host will prepare a warm traditional lunch, giving you the chance to taste local cuisine and interact with the residents. Afterwards, continue to Bhaktapur, a city rich in folklore, ancient trade routes, temples and hidden courtyards. This former royal capital feels like an open-air museum of medieval Newari art and architecture. Enjoy a relaxed guided walk through the city, including the Pottery Square, where artisans still shape and fire their wares using age-old techniques. Later in the day, drive back to Kathmandu for the night.

Day 7
Discover the charm of Bandipur

Points of Interest : Bandipur
Drive 5–6 hours towards Bandipur, a picturesque Newari hilltop village. Bandipur offers a captivating blend of rich culture, centuries-old history, elegant traditional architecture, dramatic cave systems and untouched rural landscapes. From the Tundikhel viewpoint you can, in good weather, enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges, including Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Langtang, Manaslu and Ganesh Himal. In the evening, stroll along the traffic-free main street, chat with friendly locals and gain insight into their way of life in this preserved heritage town.

Day 8
Journey to Pokhara’s natural wonders

Points of Interest : Pokhara Valley
Enjoy a relaxed morning walk through Bandipur’s lanes and viewpoints. After breakfast, drive to Pokhara, set at about 900 m above sea level. This enchanting lakeside city is famed for its broad, tranquil waters and superb vistas of the Himalayan peaks. Surrounded by natural beauty, Pokhara has a uniquely serene and almost magical atmosphere. On arrival, continue up to the World Peace Pagoda. Spend time at the stupa praying or reflecting on peace and prosperity for all beings, while taking in beautiful views over Pokhara city, Phewa Lake and the Annapurna range. Later, return to the lakeshore to unwind at your own pace.

Day 9
Relaxing in nature: mountains, sunrise, caves and lakes

Before dawn, drive up to Sarangkot viewpoint to watch the sunrise over the Annapurna range, weather permitting. The first light on the snow-capped peaks is an unforgettable sight. Return to the hotel for breakfast, then set out to explore Pokhara’s highlights. Visit Gupteshwor Cave, known for its impressive natural limestone formations, and Devi’s Fall, the city’s most famous waterfall, where the river plunges into an underground gorge. In the late afternoon or evening, enjoy a leisurely boat ride on Phewa Lake, gliding across the calm water as the sun sets behind the hills and mountains on the horizon.

Inner peace at the birthplace of Buddha

Today you embark on a 6–7 hour overland journey to Lumbini, the sacred birthplace of Lord Buddha, revered across the world as the Enlightened One. As evening approaches, soak up the mystical ambiance of this pilgrimage town. Stroll through the bustling local market, observe daily life and discover how spirituality shapes the rhythm of the community. Spend the night near the sacred zone, where the tranquil atmosphere and layered history of Buddhism invite reflection and inner stillness.

Day 11
Exploring Lumbini’s international Buddhist sites

Points of Interest : Lumbini
In the early morning, visit the Mayadevi Temple, marking the exact spot where Queen Mayadevi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama, the future Buddha. Walk slowly through the peaceful sacred gardens and take time for self-reflection and meditation to calm the mind. Later, board an e-rickshaw to tour the monastic zone, where different countries have built their own monasteries and temples in distinct architectural styles. As you move between these international Buddhist centres, absorb the timeless wisdom of Buddha’s teachings expressed through art, design and ritual.

Day 12
Into the wild

Points of Interest : Chitwan
After breakfast, drive 5–6 hours to Chitwan, gateway to one of Asia’s finest wildlife reserves. Check into your jungle resort and freshen up before beginning your first activities in and around Chitwan National Park. Take a guided walk through a nearby Tharu village, learning about the traditions and lifestyle of this indigenous community, and visit the Tharu Cultural Museum. During the walk, your naturalist guide will explain the social and cultural practices of the villagers. In the evening, a wildlife expert gives a short presentation on Chitwan National Park, its ecosystems and the animal species you may encounter during your stay. (Specific activities and timings in Chitwan may vary depending on the lodge.)

Day 13
Tracking rhinos

Points of Interest : Chitwan
Wake up with a hot cup of tea or coffee before a full day of jungle adventures in Chitwan. Start with a peaceful canoe ride in a traditional Patela boat along the Rapti River, scanning the banks for waterfowl, gharial crocodiles and other riverine wildlife. Later, set off on a jeep safari deep into the park’s wilderness to observe its rich flora and fauna. With luck, you may spot the iconic one-horned rhinoceros, several species of deer, wild bison and, with very good fortune, the elusive Bengal tiger. In the evening, enjoy a Tharu cultural dance performance, a centuries-old ritual usually performed during religious festivals to honour and appease the gods.

Day 14
Back to the capital

Enjoy a final quiet moment in the natural surroundings of Chitwan. After breakfast, depart by road for the 5–6 hour drive back to the lively capital, Kathmandu. On arrival, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the evening at leisure, perhaps doing some last-minute shopping, revisiting a favourite café or simply relaxing at your accommodation.

Day 15
Departure

Points of Interest :
A tour representative will collect you from your hotel around three hours before your scheduled flight and transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport. Carry with you the memories of Nepal’s mountains, monasteries, jungles and warm hospitality as you begin your journey home.
