Near the Cathedral of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception you can admire La Domus, an imposing 1934 residence built to house Catholic missionaries. In addition to the city tour, you have the option to extend your outing into a wider discovery of Mahé Island before returning to your accommodation in the afternoon.

Depart from the Marine Charter in Victoria by boat to reach the Marine National Park, home to an impressive variety of marine life. You stop at Moyenne Island for a short guided walk, where nature and humans coexist in harmony and giant Aldabra tortoises roam freely.

Continue to Cerf Island, lying 4 km off Mahé’s northern coast and the only island in the marine park with a small local population of around 100 residents. With no paved roads and accessible only by boat, it offers a truly unspoiled setting, home to fruit bats and giant tortoises. After your island tour, savor a Creole barbecue lunch on the beach, then spend the afternoon swimming, snorkeling or lazing in the sun before returning to Mahé.

Enjoy a walk through mangrove swamps to a breeding colony of giant tortoises and learn about the island’s history as a leper colony from 1833 until 1965. Later you sail to St. Pierre, a small private islet famous for its spectacular ocean panoramas and excellent opportunities for short walks, swimming and picture-perfect views, before returning to Praslin.
