    Day 1

    Arrival in Kathmandu – 1,300 m

    You arrive in Kathmandu, Nepal’s vibrant cultural capital, at Tribhuvan International Airport. Your local representative meets you at the airport and accompanies you by private vehicle to your hotel. A welcome drink awaits you on arrival, followed by a short briefing about the upcoming trek and daily schedule. Afterwards you can relax and recover from the journey or head out for a first independent stroll through the lively streets of Kathmandu.

    Day 2

    Sightseeing in Kathmandu

    After breakfast you set off on a full-day guided tour of Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage monuments. You visit Bouddhanath, one of the largest stupas in the world and a major Buddhist pilgrimage site, where prayer flags flutter above the white dome. The tour continues to Patan Durbar Square, an impressive ensemble of temples, palaces and courtyards showcasing Newar art and architecture from the Malla period of the 16th and 17th centuries. Finally, you climb up to Swayambhunath, the famous “Monkey Temple”, to enjoy sweeping views over the Kathmandu Valley. The rest of the day is at leisure for your own explorations or to relax at the hotel.

    Day 3

    Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (900 m)

    After breakfast you leave Kathmandu by private vehicle and drive west towards Pokhara, the country’s second-largest city and a major gateway for Annapurna treks. The journey takes around 6 to 7 hours, passing terraced hillsides, rivers and rural villages. On arrival in Pokhara at an altitude of about 900 m, you check into your hotel. The peaceful lakeside setting and the backdrop of Himalayan peaks create a tranquil atmosphere that contrasts with bustling Kathmandu.

    Day 4

    Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and trek to Hiley (1,495 m)

    After breakfast your guide accompanies you by private vehicle to Nayapul, a small trading town on the banks of the Modi River, about 45 km and roughly 30 minutes to 1 hour from Pokhara. Here you begin your trekking adventure towards Hiley. You follow the riverbank of the Modi Khola to reach Birethanti (1,065 m), a sizeable village with many shops and teahouses. From Birethanti you continue along the north bank of the Bhurundi Khola, gradually ascending the valley side until you reach Hiley at 1,495 m, your first overnight stop in the hills.

    Day 5

    Trek from Hiley to Ghorepani (2,775 m) – approx. 7 hours

    After breakfast you start trekking from Hiley to Tikhedhunga at 1,525 m, walking through alpine meadows and small, isolated villages with views of distant glaciers. The trail is relatively easy on this first section. From Tikhedhunga the path climbs steeply up stone steps to Ulleri, a large Magar village at 2,070 m. You then continue gradually uphill through beautiful oak and rhododendron forests to Banthanti (2,250 m) and onward to Nangethanti (2,460 m). A final hour of walking brings you to the village of Ghorepani at 2,775 m, where you stay in a guesthouse-style teahouse.

    Day 6

    Ghorepani – Poon Hill – Deurali – Tadapani – approx. 7 hours on foot

    Before dawn you leave Ghorepani and climb up to Poon Hill at 3,210 m, once a traditional watering and resting spot for traders and their horses. From the summit you witness a spectacular sunrise with a panoramic view of the Himalayan range, including Mount Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Annapurna South, Machapuchare (Fishtail) and many other peaks. After soaking up the scenery you return to Ghorepani for a hearty breakfast. You then continue trekking to Deurali and onward to Tadapani. The trail from Ghorepani to Deurali involves steep ascents and can be quite demanding, while the section from Deurali to Banthali is a relatively easy, mostly level jungle path where you may spot monkeys and langurs. Eventually you arrive in Tadapani at around 2,600 m for the night.

    Day 7

    Trek from Tadapani to Chomrong (2,100 m) – approx. 4 hours

    Early in the morning you enjoy beautiful mountain views from Tadapani. You then set off towards Chomrong at 2,100 m, passing places such as Chaile and Gunjung along the way. The trail first descends to the Kimsung Khola, following the river down, before climbing steeply up to the Gunjung school and into Gunjung village. From here the path levels out and you walk along a more even trail until you reach Chomrong, a Gurung village overlooking the Modi Khola valley. Lunch is planned in Gunjung today.

    Day 8

    Trek from Chomrong to Dovan (2,580 m) – approx. 5 hours

    From Chomrong you descend steeply to cross the Chomrong River and then climb back up to Sinuwa. A largely level jungle trail leads you on to Bamboo, where you stop for lunch. After the break you continue through dense forest, following the river upstream, until you reach Dovan at 2,580 m. The path offers a mix of steep sections and gentler stretches, surrounded by lush vegetation and the sound of rushing water below.

    Day 9

    Trek from Dovan to Deurali – approx. 4 hours on foot

    You follow a quiet jungle path from Dovan towards the Himalaya area at around 3,250 m, passing a small temple hidden among the trees where silence is strictly observed. Along the way you can admire impressive waterfalls cascading down the steep valley walls. The trail then climbs steeply to reach the Hinku cave and the nearby Hinku area. Deurali, at approximately 2,250 m, lies close to Dovan, with only about 40 minutes of walking between Hinku cave and the village. The day offers a mix of serene forest walking and dramatic gorge scenery.

    Day 10

    Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC, 4,120 m) – approx. 5 hours

    From Deurali you continue on a mostly straightforward trail towards Machapuchare Base Camp (MBC) at 4,100 m. From MBC, the path stays relatively gentle as it climbs into the amphitheatre of the Annapurna Sanctuary, eventually reaching Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) at 4,120 m. On this section between the Himalaya area and ABC, avalanches can occasionally occur, so your guide will choose the safest route and timing. As you gain altitude from MBC, the surrounding peaks rise dramatically around you. From ABC you enjoy close-up views of nearby glaciers and a breathtaking circle of mountains including Annapurna I, Annapurna South, the Tharpu Chuli area (Tent Peak), Singuchuli, Gandharvachuli and the distinctive Machapuchare, among others.

    Day 11

    Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Dovan – approx. 6 hours

    You rise early to watch another magnificent sunrise from Annapurna Base Camp, with the first light illuminating the surrounding peaks. After breakfast you retrace your steps downhill, passing once again through Machapuchare Base Camp, Deurali and the Himalaya section on your way back to Dovan. The descent gives you new perspectives on the landscape you climbed through the previous day. If you arrive in Dovan early and the group is feeling strong, it may be possible to continue on to Bamboo for additional sightseeing in the lush forest area.

    Day 12

    Trek from Dovan to Jinuwa – approx. 6 hours

    Today’s trek begins with a forest walk from Dovan back to Bamboo. From there you continue via Sinuwa and Chomrong on your way to Jinuwa. After a steep 45‑minute descent from Chomrong you reach the guesthouse area of Jinuwa at about 1,650 m. Here you can relax in the nearby natural hot springs: from the guesthouse it is about a 30‑minute steep walk down to the pools, where you can soak tired muscles in the warm waters while listening to the river below.

    Day 13

    Trek from Jinuwa to Pothana – approx. 6 hours

    From Jinuwa you trek to Pothana via New Bridge, Himal Pani, Landruk, Tolka and Deurali. The path first follows an almost level route from Jinuwa to New Bridge and Himal Pani. From Himal Pani the trail climbs steadily up to Landruk, a small village at around 1,500 m, and then on to Tolka. After lunch in Tolka you continue on a largely level path to Bhedikharka. From there a steep ascent brings you to Deurali, and then the route continues directly to Pothana at about 1,900 m. From Pothana you are rewarded with wide views of many beautiful peaks along the Annapurna range.

    Day 14

    Trek from Pothana to Dhampus and Phedi, drive to Pokhara

    From Pothana the trail follows an easy, mostly level route to Dhampus at 1,660 m, another scenic village with terraced fields. From Dhampus you descend to Phedi at about 1,130 m, where your vehicle is waiting. A short 30‑minute drive brings you back to Pokhara, located about 200 km west of Kathmandu on the shore of Phewa Lake, Nepal’s second-largest lake. With around 315,000 inhabitants, Pokhara is the country’s second-biggest city and a relaxed base to unwind after your trek.

    Day 15

    Drive from Pokhara back to Kathmandu and farewell dinner

    After breakfast you drive by private vehicle from Pokhara back to Kathmandu, following the same scenic highway along rivers and terraced hillsides. On arrival you check into your hotel and have time to rest, freshen up and reflect on your trekking experiences. In the evening a shuttle takes you to an authentic Nepali restaurant, where you enjoy a traditional farewell dinner accompanied by a live cultural show featuring music and dance.

    Day 16

    Check-out and departure from Kathmandu
