Day 1
Arrival in Phnom Penh

Upon arrival at Phnom Penh airport, you meet your driver and local guide and are transferred to your hotel in the city center. The rest of the day is free to relax from the journey, settle into your room, or start exploring the nearby streets at your own pace.

Day 2
Royal Palace & Sosoro Museum – Mekong Island Tuk-Tuk Tour

This morning you visit the Royal Palace, an elegant complex that showcases refined Khmer architecture and houses Cambodia’s royal residence. You continue to the Sosoro Museum, designed to present Cambodia’s history from an original perspective through interactive exhibits.
In the afternoon you escape Phnom Penh’s busy traffic on a Vespa for a half-day tour along the Mekong. Hopping from one Mekong island to another, you discover the quieter outskirts of the city, with lively local markets, traditional silk weavers, and authentic village life unfolding along the riverbanks.

Day 3
Family Adventure at Bear Sanctuary and Phnom Tamoa Zoo

Today you are introduced to a bear sanctuary and learn about its vital work rescuing and protecting bears. You join a guided tour to see these playful animals up close and hear the remarkable stories behind their rescues. Together with the staff you help prepare enrichment activities – puzzles and treats that keep the bears active and entertained.
After a relaxed family-style lunch, your adventure continues at Phnom Tamoa Zoo, where you and your children can discover many more fascinating animals in a spacious park setting.

Day 4
Phnom Penh – Flight to Siem Reap

In the morning you are driven to Phnom Penh airport without a guide for your domestic flight to Siem Reap. After landing, your local driver welcomes you and transfers you to your hotel near the Angkor temple area. The rest of the day is free so you can relax by the pool or take a first stroll through Siem Reap’s lively streets and markets.

Day 5
Khmer Family Day

Your Khmer family day begins with a fun round of mini-golf on a playful course dotted with miniature replicas of the Angkor temples – perfect for children. After the game, you walk through rice fields to reach a small hidden temple in a remote village, enjoying peaceful countryside scenery along the way.
You then continue to nearby Trav Kod Lake, a popular weekend destination for Khmer families, where locals relax in stilted huts by the water. In the afternoon you explore Angkor Wildlife & Aquarium, discovering underwater worlds and regional fauna. To round off the day, you sample a variety of local specialties such as tropical fruits, skewers, noodles, soups and, for the brave, even grilled insects.

Day 6
Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom by Tuk-Tuk

Travel by tuk-tuk to the monumental stone gate of Angkor Thom, the “Great City” of the Khmer Empire. The entrance is flanked by towering faces and surrounded by 54 towers, each adorned with four serene stone faces looking out in all directions.
You then visit Cambodia’s most iconic monument, Angkor Wat, famous for its soaring towers and intricate bas-reliefs. Lunch is served in a private wooden house, offering a quiet break in a traditional setting. In the afternoon you continue to the APOPO Visitor Center to discover how the organization trains African giant pouched rats to detect landmines and unexploded ordnance, an impressive demonstration of how these small heroes help save lives.

Day 7
Butterfly Center and Ta Prohm Temple Visit

In the morning you visit the Banteay Srey Butterfly Center, the largest enclosed butterfly exhibition in Southeast Asia. This community-based project supports local livelihoods while showcasing the remarkable diversity of butterflies native to Cambodia.
You then explore the atmospheric Ta Prohm temple, widely known as the “Tomb Raider Temple” from the Hollywood film. This 12th-century Buddhist monastery is famed for its dramatic ruins where massive tree roots twist around stone walls, giving the impression that the jungle and temple have grown together over time.

Day 8
ACCB Wildlife Center & Banteay Srei Temple

Today you visit the Angkor Centre for Conservation of Biodiversity (ACCB), founded in 2003. The center focuses on three main pillars: the rescue and rehabilitation of wild animals, conservation breeding of threatened species, and environmental education for local communities and visitors.
Later you continue to Banteay Srei, a beautifully preserved temple built from pink sandstone. Often called the “Citadel of Women”, it is renowned for its delicate carvings and fine sculptures of Hindu deities that stand out vividly against the rose-colored stone.

Day 9
Countryside Tuk-Tuk Tour around Siem Reap & Phare Circus Show

Ride by tuk-tuk into the countryside around Siem Reap to discover daily village life. You visit a local family and take part in several stages of their traditional production process, gaining insight into rural crafts and routines.
You then head to another village to see roadside stalls selling products made from sugar palm. Locals explain the many ways they use this versatile fruit, and you are encouraged to taste the different sweets and snacks. In the evening you attend a performance of Phare, the renowned Cambodian circus. Combining acrobatics, theater, music and storytelling, the show offers a vivid and emotional journey through Cambodia’s recent history and culture, suitable for all ages.

Day 10
Departure from Siem Reap
