    Day 1

    Arrival at the airport and transfer to Arusha

    On arrival at Kilimanjaro or Arusha airport, you will be welcomed by a member of the local team and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time and energy, you can either relax at the lodge or head out with your guide to explore the town and its lively markets.

    Day 2

    After breakfast, you set out to discover Arusha National Park. The park is home to large herds of buffalo, the most common species here, along with zebras and giraffes. With a bit of luck, you may also spot warthogs, waterbuck, dik-dik and reedbuck. More elusive mammals such as aardvark, bushpig and crested porcupine are also present in the area.

    During your visit, you enjoy a guided nature walk accompanied by a park ranger, a fascinating way to experience the bush on foot and observe flora and smaller wildlife up close. Lunch is taken at a designated picnic area inside the park. In the afternoon you return to your lodge in Arusha for dinner and overnight.

    Day 3

    Lake Manyara National Park and bike ride in Mto wa Mbu village

    After breakfast, your safari continues in Lake Manyara National Park, one of Tanzania’s parks with the highest biodiversity. More than 380 bird species have been recorded here, alongside a rich variety of wildlife including elephants, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, leopards, lions, baboons, hippos, antelopes, warthogs and many more.

    You enjoy lunch at a designated picnic site inside the park. Later, you head to the lively village of Mto wa Mbu for an enjoyable bike ride. This multicultural settlement, home to over 120 tribes, reveals its traditional lifestyles and lush plantations as you pedal through. At the end of the visit, you transfer to Karatu, where you check into your lodge for the evening.

    Day 4

    Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area

    After breakfast, you depart to explore the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, one of the world’s most famous safari destinations. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978 and an International Biosphere Reserve in 1981, Ngorongoro is home to the largest intact volcanic caldera on Earth and is considered one of Africa’s natural wonders.

    Descending into the crater, you are surrounded by dramatic scenery and an extraordinary density of wildlife. Around 30,000 large mammals reside here year-round, including buffalo, lions, elephants, cheetahs and rare black rhinos, along with many bird species that thrive in this unique ecosystem. After your game drive, you return to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

    Day 5

    Tarangire National Park

    After breakfast, you head towards Tarangire National Park for a memorable game drive. This park is characterized by wild savannah dotted with monumental baobab trees and is home to the largest population of elephants in northern Tanzania. In the late dry season, Tarangire hosts one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in all of Africa, drawn to the life-giving Tarangire River.

    You stop for lunch at a designated picnic area within the park, then continue your safari, watching for elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, lions and many bird species. In the afternoon you return to Arusha, where you settle into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

    Day 6

    From the mainland to Zanzibar Island

    After breakfast, you are transferred from your lodge in Arusha to the airport to continue your journey to Zanzibar. You board a domestic flight to the island. On arrival in Zanzibar, a driver meets you and takes you to your beachfront resort on the coast.

    You can settle into your family room, enjoy the sea views and relax by the beach or pool. Dinner and overnight at the resort, with different accommodation options available depending on the travel period.

    Day 7

    Zanzibar is a captivating island with truly enchanting scenery. Long, wide beaches lined with palm trees and fine golden sand invite you to unwind and play, ideal for families. In addition to relaxing by the sea or pool, the island offers a wide range of excursions suitable for both adults and children.

    You can choose optional activities such as a spice tour to discover fragrant plantations, a visit to historic Stone Town, a boat trip to Prison Island to see giant tortoises, snorkeling in clear waters, an outing to Jozani Forest to observe red colobus monkeys, sandbank excursions in the middle of the ocean and visits to local villages. You stay in a comfortable beach resort with a swimming pool, enjoying breakfast, lunch and dinner on site.

    Farewell to Tanzania with hearts full of memories
