Experience Amman – Views, old town and a culinary discovery tour

Points of Interest : Amman
Today you discover Jordan from the vibrant side of its capital, with a day full of views, history and delicious surprises.
Together with your German-speaking guide, you first head up to the Citadel, perched on one of Amman’s seven hills. From here you enjoy a spectacular panorama: pale cube-shaped houses clinging to the slopes and slender minarets rising into the blue sky.
You then walk down through narrow lanes and colorful streets into the old town to the famous Roman Theater right in the heart of the city, an impressive stone structure that still evokes stories from the past.
Next comes a special highlight: a culinary walking tour through Amman’s old town. You stroll across Souq Al-Sukar, where piles of dates, fragrant spices, nuts and fresh fruit create a vibrant scene. Along the way you sample local specialties such as crispy falafel, creamy hummus, the national dish mansaf, sweet kunafeh, freshly pressed juices and traditional Arabic ice cream to cool off.
There is time for coffee or tea and for pausing to soak up the colors, sounds and aromas of this fascinating city. Culture and cuisine go hand in hand, and younger travelers can discover Amman with all their senses.

Romans, clay and country air – A day of history and handicraft

Points of Interest : Jerash
Your adventure truly gets going today as you drive to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities outside Italy. With your German-speaking guide you discover mighty arches, broad colonnaded streets and ancient theaters where gladiators once performed – and there is always a chance to test the echo in the stands.
In spring, Jerash is surrounded by lush green and the ruins look almost like something out of an illustrated history book.
After this journey back in time, you continue into the countryside around Jerash for a special rural experience. In a 140-year-old stone farmhouse, overlooking fields and olive trees, you are warmly welcomed by a local farmer.
Now it is time to roll up your sleeves: you learn how simple clay is shaped into bowls and cups and create your own piece – perhaps a mug, a bowl or a little figure. Every family member can make and paint a unique souvenir.
After the pottery session, you sit down to a tasty traditional farm meal from the region, freshly prepared and wholesome. Anyone who wishes can even dress in the traditional clothing of a Jerash farmer – perfect for a fun family photo with countryside views.
An unforgettable day that blends history, craftsmanship, nature and genuine hospitality.

Your day begins in Madaba, the famous “city of mosaics”. In St. George’s Church you discover a remarkable ancient map made from millions of tiny stone tiles and more than 1,400 years old. Children can have fun spotting the Dead Sea or Jerusalem on the map.
You then continue to Mount Nebo, from where, according to tradition, Moses first saw the Promised Land. On clear days you can see all the way to Israel – a moving place with sweeping views and history close enough to touch.
Following the legendary King’s Highway, you drive on to the imposing Crusader castle of Karak. The vast fortress invites exploration and a bit of hide-and-seek – who will find a secret passage first?
Further south you traverse the Dana nature reserve, where the scenery shifts dramatically: rolling hills, deep valleys and wide horizons alternate along the way.
In the evening you reach Little Petra, where a memorable night between rocky outcrops and desert silence awaits. It is a perfect spot for family time beneath a glittering starry sky.

Exploring Petra – The rock-carved world wonder

Points of Interest : Petra
Today a true highlight awaits: a visit to the world-famous rock city of Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and a place that feels straight out of an adventure movie.
In the morning your driver collects you from the camp. Together with your German-speaking guide you dive into the secrets of the Nabataeans, the ancient people who carved this vast city directly into the red sandstone cliffs.
You walk through the Siq, a narrow, mysterious gorge, until suddenly the view opens onto Petra’s breathtaking Treasury. It is a goosebump moment for adults and children alike.
You then continue to explore ancient temples, tombs and decorated façades that tell stories of a long-lost era. There is plenty of time to marvel, ask questions, take photos or simply let the children play among the rocks in this extraordinary setting.
To round off the day, you might enjoy a cup of sweet Bedouin tea while the kids clamber over stones one last time or explore nearby rock formations.
For the way back, a golf cart is available so that tired legs can comfortably return to the visitor center.

A desert jeep takes you along sandy tracks and through wide valleys – a real adventure for explorers of all ages. Along the way there is much to see: ancient rock inscriptions, viewpoints, soft dunes perfect for climbing and, for those who wish, the chance to try sandboarding.
At midday a simple, freshly cooked meal is served for you right in the heart of nature, with expansive views over the endless desert.
In the late afternoon you arrive at your desert camp, where everything is prepared for a cozy evening. You enjoy a typical Bedouin dinner with regional specialties in an authentic atmosphere.

Rocking along on these calm “ships of the desert”, you take in the impressive landscape – an unforgettable adventure, especially for children.
After the camel ride, you leave Wadi Rum and drive south to the Red Sea and the coastal town of Aqaba.
Here you can organize the next two days entirely at your own pace. Relax on the beach, splash about in the pools, snorkel in the colorful underwater world, stroll through the old town or try out water sports – there are options for every family member.

Here you experience a unique natural phenomenon: thanks to the high salt content of the water, you can float effortlessly on the surface without sinking, which is great fun for the whole family. Those who like can cover themselves in the famous mineral-rich mud right on the shore – a treat for the skin and a fun photo opportunity.
Your hotel offers relaxation for parents and lots of entertainment for children. In the water play areas kids can splash, spray and laugh, while you sit back and enjoy the one-of-a-kind view over the shimmering water and mountains beyond.
