You then drive on to Madaba, known as the “City of Mosaics”. Today Madaba is famous for its beautiful 6th-century Byzantine mosaic map, depicting the entire Holy Land with Jerusalem at its center, along with many biblical scenes from the Old and New Testaments. Next you continue to Mount Nebo, from where Moses is said to have seen the Promised Land. Finally, you head to the Dead Sea for relaxation. On Foot through the Rock City of Petra

Points of Interest : Petra
After breakfast you set off for a full-day hike in the rock-hewn city of Petra, exploring the rich culture of the Nabataeans. Petra reveals its true magic when discovered on foot, as only walking allows you to reach remote temples and sacrificial sites. These are nestled between multicolored sandstone mountains or perched on striking plateaus. The highest viewpoint with a unique panorama is Mount Aaron (around 1,350 m), where Moses’ brother Aaron is said to be buried. A small white mosque stands on the summit, from which there are wide views over the surrounding mountains.
In the evening, Petra Kitchen enriches your experience with a relaxed cooking class and dinner. Together with local chefs you prepare authentic regional dishes using fresh ingredients, similar to those served in a typical Jordanian family home. There are no freezers in this kitchen: by sharing recipes and flavors, your hosts share their history and culture, and encourage you to recreate the tastes of Jordan for friends and family after you return home. Guests taking part in multi-day classes can also join the chef on local markets to source ingredients and learn how dishes are created from farm to table.
Walking time: about 6 hours
- Meals included : Breakfast (cooking class and dinner experience at Petra Kitchen are part of the program but may not always be included in the base price)
- Accommodation : Hotel in Petra
Day 6
Across the "Valley of the Moon"

Points of Interest : Little Petra, Wadi Rum, Aqaba
After breakfast you drive to Little Petra, once a main caravan station in the Nabataean kingdom, and explore its smaller rock-cut facades. You then continue into the desert landscapes of Wadi Rum. Slender rock pinnacles, spectacular natural rock bridges and glowing red granite mountains rise from the sand and give the so‑called “Valley of the Moon” its distinctive character. During your 2‑hour jeep tour, vast sand dunes and rugged desert valleys glide past, immersing you in Wadi Rum’s dramatic scenery. Afterwards you drive on to Aqaba on the Red Sea and check into your hotel.

Swimming, sailing, windsurfing and water-skiing are also possible. A trip in a glass-bottom boat provides fantastic views of the rich underwater world just off the coast.
