Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu

Points of Interest : Kathmandu
After landing at Kathmandu International Airport, a member of the local team welcomes you and accompanies you to your hotel so you can rest after the long journey. In the evening you enjoy a traditional Nepali welcome dinner accompanied by a cultural show featuring dances from several of Nepal’s ethnic groups, a first immersion into the country’s rich traditions.

Day 2
Exploring the Kathmandu Valley

Points of Interest : Kathmandu
The day starts at the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, where you can quietly observe Hindu rituals along the riverside ghats. You then continue to Patan to stroll through the ancient palace complex and visit Buddhist shrines, learning about the art and architecture of old Nepal. After lunch, you head to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world, encircled by prayer flags and monasteries. The day ends at Swayambhunath Stupa, perched on a hill with sweeping views over the Kathmandu Valley.

Day 3
Ancient city Bhaktapur and nature retreat in Nagarkot

Points of Interest : Bhaktapur, Nagarkot
Today you discover Bhaktapur Durbar Square, an open-air museum of royal courtyards, pagodas and temples in the Shikhara style. You explore highlights such as the five‑storey Nyatapola Temple, Pottery Square, Dattatraya Square and the intricately carved Peacock Window, and you can watch local potters and traditional painters at work. Later you climb the steps up to Changunarayan, one of the oldest temples in the valley. Your day finishes in the hill station of Nagarkot, where you relax in peaceful natural surroundings and fresh mountain air.

Day 4
Sunrise over the Himalayas and monastery stay

Your day begins with a spectacular sunrise from Nagarkot, where on clear days you can enjoy a sweeping panorama from Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) in the west to Mount Everest (8,848 m) in the east. After soaking up the views, you drive back down to Kathmandu and settle into Tergar Monastery for the night. Here you have the opportunity to meet monks and learn about Buddhist spiritual life, and you can watch traditional thangka painters at work and even try your hand at this sacred art.

Day 5
Scenic drive to lakeside Pokhara

Points of Interest : Pokhara
You follow a panoramic mountain road on a 6–7 hour drive to Pokhara, Nepal’s second-largest city and a relaxed lakeside hub. Once there, you can take a boat out on the lake, enjoy views of the surrounding mountains and visit nearby stupas at your own pace. In the evening, you are introduced to meditation and mindfulness during a two‑hour session, and later you may choose to sample Pokhara’s pleasant nightlife. For the more adventurous, Pokhara is also a base for activities such as trekking, mountain flights, paragliding, fishing, swimming or bungy jumping (optional, not included).

Day 6
Drive to Nayapul and trek to Ulleri

Points of Interest : Nayapul, Ulleri
After breakfast you drive for about an hour to Nayapul, the starting point of your trek. From here you hike for around four hours up to the village of Ulleri at about 2,000 metres. The trail climbs steadily on stone steps, so take your time and enjoy the unfolding views of the valley and the surrounding hills. Along the way you pass small settlements and terraced fields that offer an authentic glimpse of rural mountain life.

Day 7
Through rhododendron forests to Ghorepani

Today’s hike takes you on a beautiful trail through rhododendron forests that are especially striking in spring when the trees are in bloom. The scenery and fresh mountain air give you the energy to continue up the steps and along the ridges. After several hours on the trail, you reach Ghorepani, where you are rewarded with fantastic views of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna range from this ridge-top village.

Day 8
Sunrise hike to Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani

Points of Interest : Tadapani
Before dawn you hike about 40 minutes up to Poon Hill at 3,210 metres. From the viewpoint you have a magnificent, unobstructed panorama of the Himalayas as the sun rises over a broad arc of peaks including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machapuchare and Manaslu, with rhododendron forests spread out below. After enjoying the spectacle, you return to Ghorepani for breakfast and then continue your trek towards Tadapani at 2,540 metres, following forested paths and ridges with changing views along the way.

Day 9
Gurung village of Ghandruk and return to Pokhara

Points of Interest : Ghandruk, Pokhara
You continue your trek towards Ghandruk, following a path that descends along steep hillsides with terraces and forest. Ghandruk is the largest Gurung village in the area, home to one of western Nepal’s prominent ethnic groups. Here you can experience local culture and admire some of the most beautiful close‑up views of Annapurna and Machapuchare from the village. After exploring, you drive back to Pokhara where you have time to relax by the lake or stroll through town.

Day 10
Sarangkot sunrise, Pandeli village and Pokhara highlights

Points of Interest : Pokhara, Sarangkot
Early in the morning you drive up to the hilltop village of Sarangkot to watch the sun rise over the Himalayan range. Afterwards you visit Pandeli village, where you are welcomed with a homemade breakfast and can observe organic coffee cultivation, beekeeping and local handicraft projects. These community initiatives across Nepal are supported by Planeterra in partnership with Evaneos. Later in the day you explore some of Pokhara’s key sights, including the powerful Davis Falls, the nearby Gupteshwar Cave and the informative International Mountain Museum.

Day 11
Into the jungle at Chitwan National Park

Points of Interest : Chitwan National Park
You travel by road for around three to four hours to reach a jungle resort located in a buffer zone of Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After settling in, you join your guide for various jungle activities such as birdwatching walks, jeep drives, canoe trips or guided forest walks, depending on conditions and lodge planning. In the evening you watch a traditional stick dance performance by the local Tharu people, the indigenous community who historically lived in these forests.

Day 12
Full day of wildlife and jungle activities in Chitwan

Points of Interest : Chitwan National Park
You spend a full day immersed in Chitwan’s diverse ecosystems. Activities may include canoeing along the Rapti River to spot crocodiles and waterbirds, visiting the elephant breeding centre, and taking a jeep safari or similar excursion through the park’s grasslands and forest. Rhino, crocodile and deer are commonly seen, and with luck you might encounter elusive wildlife such as tigers, leopards or pythons. Bird enthusiasts will be delighted: nearly 450 different bird species have been recorded in the park.

Day 13
Leisure time and last evening in Kathmandu

After the drive back to Kathmandu, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace. You can wander through the colourful streets, browse bustling markets, shop for handicrafts and souvenirs, or simply soak up the city’s lively atmosphere from a café. In the evening you celebrate your final night in Nepal with a last dinner in the city.

Day 14
Farewell to Nepal

Points of Interest : Kathmandu
Your journey through Nepal’s rich culture, ancient architecture and pristine nature comes to an end. You leave with lasting memories of the Himalayas, the jungles and the warm hospitality you have encountered.
