Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to Nepal, the Himalayan kingdom. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a member of the local team will greet you and accompany you to your hotel in Kathmandu. After some time to rest and freshen up, you meet again in the evening for a welcome dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant in the heart of the city, where you can sample local dishes and enjoy a cultural dance performance.

Day 2
Discovering Kathmandu

Points of Interest : Kathmandu
After breakfast you begin your exploration of the Kathmandu Valley. First you visit Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal’s most important Hindu complex dedicated to Lord Shiva, renowned for its spiritual atmosphere as well as its historical and artistic significance. After lunch you continue to Patan Durbar Square, home to the former royal palace of Patan, filled with exquisite examples of traditional craftsmanship and Newar architecture. You end the day at Swayambhunath Stupa, perched on a hilltop and offering panoramic views over Kathmandu and the surrounding valley.

Day 3
Drive to Pokhara and Phewa Lake

Points of Interest : Pokhara
Early in the morning you board a bus to Pokhara, driving through picturesque Nepalese countryside. Along the way you can admire rolling hills, terraced fields and rushing rivers that follow the road. On arrival in Pokhara, you check into your hotel and have the rest of the day free. Take a relaxed walk along the shores of Phewa Lake, soak up the tranquil atmosphere or simply enjoy the mountain views on a clear day.

Day 4
Trek from Nayapul to Tikhedhunga

Points of Interest : Nayapul, Tikhedhunga
After breakfast your trekking guide meets you and you set off by vehicle for about an hour to Nayapul, the starting point of your trek. From here you begin walking towards Birethanti, a relatively large and prosperous village on the banks of the Modi River. You follow the main trail to Sudami, then gradually climb along the side of the valley until you reach Hile (1,495 m). Continuing up the trail, you arrive in Tikhedhunga (1,577 m), where you spend the night in a simple but welcoming teahouse.
Hiking distance is around 8 km and takes about 4 hours of walking, plus 1 hour of driving.

Day 5
Ascent to Ghorepani

Points of Interest : Ghorepani
After breakfast you prepare for a long day of ascent. The trail climbs steeply on stone steps to the village of Ulleri, where you are rewarded with impressive views of the surrounding landscape and Himalayan peaks. You continue through beautiful rhododendron and oak forests, with the scenery encouraging you onward as you gain altitude. By late afternoon you arrive in Ghorepani, a mountain village that offers close-up views of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna massif.
You cover about 9 km today, with 6 to 7 hours of hiking.

Day 6
Sunrise Hike on Poon Hill and Trek to Tadapani

Points of Interest : Tadapani
Before dawn you set out on a 40-minute climb up to Poon Hill (3,210 m). From this famous viewpoint you look out over a sea of rhododendron forest and enjoy an unobstructed sunrise over the high Himalayas. The panorama stretches from the distant western ranges of Dolpo across Dhaulagiri and Annapurna to Machhapuchhre (Fish Tail) and all the way towards Manaslu. After soaking up the views and taking photos, you return to Ghorepani for breakfast. You then continue your trek through forests and ridges towards Tadapani, arriving in the afternoon at your teahouse for the night.
Today’s hike covers around 12 km and takes 6 to 7 hours in total, including the early morning ascent.

Day 7
Trek to the Gurung Village of Ghandruk

Points of Interest : Ghandruk
After breakfast you set off on the trail to Ghandruk, a traditional Gurung village nestled in the lower Annapurna foothills. The route descends and ascends through forest and terraced fields, with constant views of the surrounding mountains. On arrival in Ghandruk you can explore the stone-paved lanes and traditional houses, observe daily village life and learn more about Gurung culture and traditions. Take your time to wander through the village and enjoy the atmosphere.
You walk around 8 km today, taking 5 to 6 hours of hiking.

Day 8
Meeting Local Gurungs and Return to Pokhara

Points of Interest : Pokhara
Today you have the chance to interact more closely with the local Gurung community in Ghandruk and gain deeper insight into their lifestyle, customs and daily routines. Later you descend the hills on foot to reach the road, where a vehicle is waiting to take you back to Pokhara. The drive of about 55 km takes around 4 hours. On arrival you check into your hotel and have time to explore the city, relax by the lakeside or enjoy a café with mountain views.

Day 9
Back to Kathmandu and Dinner with a Local Family

Points of Interest : Kathmandu
In the early morning you leave Pokhara and travel back to Kathmandu, once again passing through scenic countryside of valleys, rivers and terraced hillsides. On arrival you are transferred to your hotel and have free time to continue exploring the capital, visit markets or simply rest. In the evening you are welcomed into a Nepalese home for a hosted dinner, giving you the opportunity to taste authentic home-cooked dishes and chat with the family about life in Nepal.

Day 10
Goodbye, Nepal!

Points of Interest : Kathmandu
Your final day in Nepal is free for any last-minute souvenir shopping or a relaxed stroll through the city. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Tribhuvan International Airport. After saying farewell to your guide and hosts, you depart with many memories of your time in the Himalayas.
