On arrival at Djerba airport you are welcomed by your local representative and transferred to your hotel. Take time to settle into your room and rest after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you can head out for a first stroll to discover the surroundings or simply relax on the nearby beach and enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere.

After breakfast you drive from Djerba towards Tataouine along the ancient Roman causeway. On arrival, you visit the town before continuing to Chenini, a small village embedded in the mountains, famous for its ksours and houses carved into the rock faces.

After lunch (not included) the route continues via Ksar Haddada, then on to Ksar Ghilane, a small exotic oasis in the heart of the Sahara renowned for its thermal pools where you can take a refreshing dip. You then settle into your tented camp before setting off on a one-hour quad bike tour among the dunes.

As an optional extra, you can enjoy a camel excursion to watch the sunset and visit an old fort deep in the desert. The day ends with dinner under the stars in the Sahara, a magical experience for both children and adults.

After breakfast you set off towards Tozeur, crossing Chott El Djerid, the legendary salt lake of Antiquity. This shimmering expanse, haunted by mirages and myths of vanished armies, offers surreal desert landscapes that seem to stretch to infinity.

You then visit the old town of Tozeur, with its characteristic brick architecture and narrow alleyways. In the afternoon a fun adventure course awaits you in the palm grove, a playful activity that both children and parents will enjoy. The day ends with a visit to the beautiful Dar Chéraït Museum of traditional art, where you discover local crafts and Tunisian heritage.

After breakfast you head out to discover the superb mountain oases of Chebika, Tamerza and Midès. These lush havens suspended between desert and cliffs have long attracted major filmmakers for their cinematic scenery of palm groves, waterfalls and rugged canyons. In the afternoon you leave the last villages behind and venture into the dunes of Ong Jmel to explore the famous Star Wars film sets. The landscapes unfold like a sci‑fi movie, captivating young and old alike as you walk among the remains of the saga’s imaginary worlds.

Enjoy a free morning in Tozeur to relax at the hotel, stroll through the palm grove or do some last-minute shopping in town. After lunch (not included) you take the road towards the troglodyte village of Matmata. On arrival you visit this astonishing place, where traditional homes are dug into the earth and connected by underground courtyards.

You then continue to the nearby village of Tamezret, a charming Berber settlement perched on a ridge, where you spend the night in an authentic guesthouse.

After breakfast you set off on a hike, either on foot or on donkey-back depending on your choice. This beautiful walk allows you to immerse yourself in the desert landscapes around Tamezret. In the afternoon you are driven back to Djerba. On arrival there is free time and you can choose from a range of optional activities: a boat trip on the sea, a mountain bike ride, or other excursions depending on your interests.
