Day 1
Welcome to Turkey!

Points of Interest : Istanbul, Adiyaman, Kahta
Arrival at Istanbul airport and connecting domestic flight to Adiyaman. Upon landing, you are welcomed by your local representative and transferred to your accommodation in Kahta.
In the afternoon, you begin your journey through the Land of Prophets with a visit to Mount Nemrut, famous for its colossal stone heads and royal tumulus. You also discover the ancient city of Arsemia, the Karakuş Tumulus and the historic Cendere Bridge, all set amid haunting mountain landscapes.

Day 2
Heading towards Şanlıurfa

Points of Interest : Kahta, Şanlıurfa Province
Today you drive to Şanlıurfa, crossing the impressive Atatürk Dam region. Your main stop is the archaeological site of Göbekli Tepe, considered one of the oldest known temple complexes in the world and a milestone in human history.
In the afternoon, you explore key spiritual sites in and around Şanlıurfa: the sacred pool of Ainzelha, Abraham’s Cave and the ancient town of Harran with its characteristic beehive houses and millennia-old heritage.

Day 3
Exploring Zeugma

Points of Interest : Şanlıurfa Province, Zeugma
You set off towards Halfeti, an old town partly submerged by the waters of the Euphrates. From here you board a local boat for a cruise along the river, admiring the half-sunken houses, minarets emerging from the water and the dramatic shoreline.
After lunch, you continue to Zeugma to visit the renowned Mosaic Museum, home to one of the world’s most important collections of Roman mosaics, including the famous “Gypsy Girl”. The exhibits bring to life the daily scenes, myths and artistry of the ancient city.

Day 4
On the road to Mardin

Points of Interest : Şanlıurfa Province, Mardin
After breakfast, you drive to Mardin, a picturesque town perched on a hillside overlooking the Mesopotamian plains. In the afternoon, you enjoy a guided tour through its atmospheric streets lined with old Arab stone houses and carved facades.
You wander through the lively bazaar and see the historic post office building, then visit the Deyrulzafaran (Deyraz Zaferan) Monastery, an important Syriac Orthodox center. Its courtyards and chapels reveal centuries of monastic life and religious tradition.

Day 5
Via Midyat to Tatvan

Here you visit Mor Gabriel Church, part of one of the oldest surviving Syriac Orthodox monasteries in the world, with beautifully decorated interiors and a serene atmosphere.
Later, you continue your journey towards Tatvan on the shores of Lake Van, crossing remote and scenic landscapes that showcase the raw beauty of Eastern Turkey.

Day 6
Transfer to Van

Points of Interest : Tatvan, Van
This morning you visit Akdamar Island on Lake Van, reached by boat. On the island you discover the medieval Armenian Holy Cross Church, famous for its richly carved stone reliefs depicting biblical scenes, all framed by lake and mountain views.
Later you drive on to the city of Van. Here you tour the city and visit Van Castle, an ancient fortress standing on a rocky outcrop above the lake, offering sweeping panoramas over the surrounding region.

Day 7
Ishak Pasha Palace and the Muradiye Waterfalls

You continue towards Doğubeyazıt, travelling through landscapes dominated by high peaks, including distant views of Mount Ararat on clear days. En route, you stop at the Muradiye Waterfalls, where cascades of water tumble over rocks in a lush riverside setting.
In the afternoon, you visit the splendid Ishak Pasha Palace, a unique blend of Ottoman, Persian and Armenian architectural styles overlooking the plain. After your visit, you drive on to Kars, where you settle into your hotel.

Day 8
From Kars to Ani

Today is dedicated to exploring the ruins of Ani, the former Armenian capital located on a windswept plateau near the border. You wander among the remains of churches, city walls and palaces, imagining life in this once-flourishing medieval city.
In the afternoon, you return to Kars for a city tour that includes its imposing castle and characteristic stone buildings. You have time to stroll through the streets and soak up the town’s particular atmosphere.

Day 9
On the way to Erzurum

You then explore the Double Minaret Mosque and its adjoining madrasa, architectural symbols of Erzurum with finely carved stonework. There is also free time to walk through the streets and discover the surrounding neighborhoods at your own pace.
